It may seem like the 2013 New Zealand Symposium is on the backburner while we prepare for the 2012 International Sculpture Conference in October, but don’t worry, it’s not!! We are busy planning behind the scenes and this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity promises an in-depth look at sculpture in New Zealand and exclusive access to private properties and collections that you can only get through the ISC. One such conference program will be a trip to John and Jo Gow’s Connells Bay Sculpture Park, where they will personally lead a tour of their fantastic property.

If you’d like to learn more about Connells Bay Sculpture Park, and see its beautiful, secluded setting, you can watch this documentary video on our website which gives a general overview of the land, the Gow’s vision, and their collecting and commissioning process. Also included on this page is a podcast of a recent interview with John Gow. Enjoy!
